Krista WalshRare findMost podcasts in this niche hosted by retirees - people who now only coach. It’s a rare find to have TWO hosts who BOTH run successful private practices. Adds a feeling of realness that is much needed. Highly recommend!
-
Jlam0605Amazing!Listening to this podcast is like having a coffee chat with a mentor who's been through the trenches and come out the other side! For anyone in the throes of opening your private practice challenges, or simply dreaming of their venture, “The Private Practice Startup" offers a blend of encouragement, wisdom, and actionable insights that you won't want to miss!

Matthew Braman, LCSW10/10 Would RecommendKate & Katie, The Private Practice Startup Podcast, and the PPS Facebook Group = 10/10 would recommend. Fortunately for me, I had a solid year to plan and prepare the launch of my solo private practice throughout my journey from working in community mental health and then a group practice before taking the leap on my own. I'm not yet where I want to be, and that's OK because I'm full of joy and gratitude knowing that much of my (so far) dream private practice - Verve Psychotherapy - was planned and prepared while tuning in to all of the PPS Podcast episodes and also engaging others in the FB group where I found countless Ninja Tips that inspired my vision.

Taylor RosandIf you are looking for the support to go all in- this is your kick in the ass!!Amazing podcast. I can’t get enough from these episodes. Every time I see an episode and think “oh this should be basic knowledge I already have, but I’ll listen to it anyway” or “oh this episode doesn’t pertain to me, but I’ll listen anyway”, I ALWAYS learn something new and valuable. These women and their guests have given my partners and I the confidence to go all in and start our practice. I’m so thankful I happened across this podcast and shared it with my partners. We are now a coaching client and looking forward to growing our practice! Thank you Kate & Katie!

Tara the Corny TherapistThinking outside of the box!Kate and Katie have made a huge impact on my ability to do what I love and love what I do AGAIN. As a former coachee I gained the ability to write AWESOME content for my website and social media. They’re podcast is just an added bonus for me as it keeps my business juices flowing but also keeps me grounded before I fall into the “Oh, I should do that” trap. Because of the podcast I’ve learned say “I could do that BUT DO I WANT TO DO THAT?” I recommend the startup nation and Kate and Katie’s podcast and courses to all my friends looking to venture into private practice.
-

ShanebirkelInspiring for starting a therapy practiceAs a therapist it can feel lonely starting a practice and trying to figure out where to get good information about running a business. Kate and Katie do an amazing job at creating community and providing therapists with the information they need to be successful.
-
dockenbizLacks substanceThis podcast has what you would THINK would be awesome content based off of the episode titles and then you listen and it’s meaningless chit chat and opinions. The hosts aren’t in the same room most of the time and so they’re cutting eachother off and it’s awkward as a listener. I can totally hear tension between them (meaning the hosts) a whole different problem are the guest hosts who are usually totally unprepared and don’t give any ACTUAL advice. I’m very disappointed in this podcast. 25 minutes of nothing. I’ve listened to about 10 episodes hoping to find something good to no avail. Unsubscribing.
-
Poker by zyngaAmazing ResourceI must say that I was weary of going into private practice. Since being turned on to this resource by another colleague and binging on the episodes, I can say that my confidence has definitely skyrocketed. I know that this is possible and that I can be successful with starting up. I love that they pull in so many other resources for people like me to use. Thanks K2 for providing this demystification resource!
-

Charis FCBest kept secret podcast!!A little gratitude shout-out THANK-YOU both for starting this group, doing an amazing podcast every time (even the ones where you two are in self-admitted "squirrel" mode - I truly take away something every time even if it's a laugh), and above all helping new mental health clinicians in the field, like myself, get a handle on private practice. I appreciate the work you both do for this little newbie therapist in South Dakota!
